Course Description

This online enduring material presentation addresses the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and the recent preparedness updates. This presentation addresses the epidemiology, characteristics and the  current status of the virus as well as testing, and  potential therapeutics.  In addition,  CDC recommendations for CoV infection control for healthcare, donning and doffing of personal protective equipment, and masking are discussed. 

Who Should Attend?

This activity is designed to meet the educational goals of physicians and other healthcare professionals specializing in infectious diseases, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and all those involved with the management of patients with the coronavirus.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the epidemiology and characteristics of coronavirus COVID-19
  • Discuss CDC recommendation for CoV infection control for healthcare
  • Discuss current status of testing of coronavirus COVID-19
  • Describe donning and doffing of personal protective equipment and masks
