Course Description
Environmental Health & Safety is sponsoring this course as a required Texas Department of State Health Services course for all providers operating fluoroscopy in the clinical facilities.
Who Should Attend?
This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, administrators and healthcare professionals interested or involved in medical fluoroscopy.
Learning Objectives
- The learner will list the required radiation protection principles in the clinic.
- The learner will identify or state the risk or biological effects to the patients.
- The learner will be able to identify the dose reduction techniques, the high level control options, and the site specific procedures for the institution.
Continuing Medical Education Credit
